What is the weather like in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in July?

July is one of the warmest months – tropical and humid. The average temperature in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico is about 85°F. During this month, highs of up to 90°F are common cooling down to mid to high 70s after dark. It rains a bit more in July, but it usually comes in short bursts with a lot of sunshine overall. Bring lots of eco-friendly sunscreen and don’t forget a hat and sunglasses!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Beach Formal

A dress, suit, formal romper, or jumpsuit all work for semi-formal. Feel free to include prints, avoiding anything too loud. If you choose to wear a beachy dress, consider it in either tea-length or maxi to avoid looking too casual. Dressy sandals, chunky heels, and wedges are acceptable footwear options. Please refrain from all black, white or red.

A jacket and (bow) ties are not required. Feel free to include prints, avoiding anything too loud. Shoes can be a little more casual, but should be closed-toe, such as a loafer or deck shoe. Shorts are not permitted.

Bring a pair of flip flops or grab them from your room before the reception to hit the dance floor in!

Please take the temperature and outdoor setting into consideration, alongside the formality of our wedding when choosing your attire for our event. We can’t wait to see you all!

Where is the ceremony?

Where is the reception?

The ceremony will be held at Hotel Xcaret, outdoors, in a beach-like setting – Caleta Fuego. It will be a late afternoon/evening ceremony – at the brink of “Golden Hour” (Perfect for Photos!)

A cocktail hour will immediately follow. And just a few steps away, the dinner reception will be held in a semi-private area of the caves within Las Cuevas.

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

Yes! The kiddos are invited. We want to celebrate with them too! Hotel Xcaret is family oriented. Lots of places to see and things to do. Food that even the pickiest eater can’t pass up. Hotel Xcaret has got it covered. Not only will you be celebrating our special day, but you will be able to make some memories of your own with your family. Make sure to ask about the kids area at Xcaret. It has an amazing kids pool, even adults will enjoy and Chibali, a kid approved restaurant a hop and skip away so you can get back to the fun!

Can I bring a +1?

We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Unless otherwise noted – Thank you for not bringing a guest.

When is the RSVP deadline?
