UPDATE!
For our guests that will be with us on Monday Night – Due to some restrictions we have changed plans. Brian and I would love for you to join us at one of the resort’s 9 restaurants for dinner. (We haven’t quite decided, but we will be in contact with you and let you know prior to your arrival) We will reach out to you via WhatApp so we can make sure you’re updated with dinner plans for Monday Night! What we look forward to the most is spending time with each and every one of you – our favorite people in the world. For some of you, Thursday will be your only full day to spend time on the resort or venture out on one of the tours.
We WANT you to enjoy every moment at Hotel Xcaret!
So go and explore!
For those of you who have left this day open, or just don’t have plans – we’ve got you covered. Brian and I believe that Xcaret Park and Xplor Park are a must before you depart.
We have decided that we will spend time at both parks this day, hoping you’ll come join us or that we’ll bump into you at some point throughout the day.
After breakfast (9-ish) , We’re planning on heading to Xcaret Park first – We want you to experience the amazing underground rivers (think of it as a pretty cool lazy river)
For lunch, we plan on having lunch probably at Xcaret Park.
We’ll probably head back to the Hotel for a few to chill, lounge and freshen up.
Then we plan to head over to Xplor Park around in the evening. After 5:00 PM it turns into Xplor Fuego where you can zip-line through a ring of fire!! Who’s coming with me?!!
We have no dinner reservations yet. So we’re up for a dinner date!
We just want to make sure that we get to spend time with each and every one of you. So maybe its not zip-lining through the ring of fire, and it’s lunch or dinner. Or maybe let’s grab a farewell drink before the night ends… Let’s make it happen.

How We Came to Be.

After nearly 10 years, long lost friends ran into each other. One lunch became two, then three. Conversations went from minutes to hours. It was fun, felt new and exciting all at once. We found ourselves always together.
“We’re friends” we said. But every one around us knew.
And as cliché as this sounds – The best love story is when you fall in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time.
The Proposal.

Before Faye, my life was pretty predictable. Work, gym, and home. She helped push me to go outside my comfort zone and to value life experiences even if it meant flying with turbulence, over coming my fear of heights, and riding rollercoasters to name a few. Even though I was terrified of these things, I knew that I wouldn’t have to face it alone because she would always be with me by my side helping me get through it. With Faye in my life, I can explore without fear and know it’s ok to have a little unpredictability in your life.
I knew that when the time came for me to propose Faye, it had to be as special as her. Each year together was filled with adventure, beautiful destinations, and memories we’d never forget. And this trip would be no different.
I planned to originally propose in Paris, but ended up in Oahu, Hawaii. And I would not change that for the world.
A moment that has continued to remind me that – When things in life don’t go as planned how important it is to have someone that will stand by your side no matter the outcome. Things will always work out as long as you both are together.
What impresses me most about Faye is her heart and how it is always full. Caring about others before herself – family, co-workers, friends, and me. When I was hospitalized earlier this year, Faye never left my side. Her selflessness is only one of many reasons why I want to spend my life with her.

2020 has been a tough year for all of us – in different ways at different times. It was one of the hardest moments for us, when the hopes of spending our special day with the ones we love became so distant due to the pandemic. We knew we had to change our original date, start over, and hope for the best.
We were able push our date back five months, setting our date in July. Worried, disappointed, and upset Brian found the light and joy in the date 07.21. Being the math major that he is, he sat me down and said –
“It was meant to be. 7 + 2 + 1 = 10 and 7 + 21 = 28. 10.28 is the day I chose you to be my forever. And 7 and 21 are lucky numbers right? That’s our date.” All tears then laughter.
These times have helped us understand better than before how infinitely rich and beautiful life really is. How each day we are blessed. How grateful we are to have each and every one of you in our lives. How each moment should be shared and cherished with the ones you love.
As we navigate a world where life is changing from one day to the next we will keep you informed of any changes.
